We tend to think of any distractions from study as a “bad” thing, but in fact, there can be real intrinsic value in distracting our brains for a short while and then returning to the task. In this NY Times article by Hanif Kureishi, a playwright, screenwriter and novelist, the “Art of Distraction” is thoughtfully analyzed. It’s a good read!
